Victoria Beckham's matte milk nails are giving quiet luxury

Victoria Beckham is no stranger to the quiet luxury trend.

Yes, she may have 15 different engagement rings and have been driven to school in a Rolls-Royce, but no one does minimalist chic like Posh Spice. Typically leaning into classic shapes and neutral tones, with quiet luxury the focus is on high-quality, timeless staples over trending pieces which look expensive, but not in a garish way.

And most recently, in addition to her fashion, Victoria Beckham has been bringing minimalism to her manicure. The fashion designer recently wore out what we're dubbing a ‘matte milk manicure’ which is giving pure understated luxury. VB posted her mani from a recent party in Miami in which she poses with Tom Ford and Lionel Messi while showcasing her nails.

With her matte milk manicure, Victoria Beckham wears a smokey eye, later revealing the details behind her signature look in a video in which we get a better look at her nails. The matte white nails (AKA milk nails) feature a subtle dash of pink, with the nails themselves in a long, angular round nail shape (squoval).

For her "Matte Milk Manicure", Victoria Beckham wears a classy smokey eye make-up. In a video posted afterwards, in which she shows how she does her signature look, you can see the new nails, which totally look like "Quiet Luxury", even better. They are matte white nails, so-called milk nails, with a minimalist dash of pink. The nails are long, filed in an angular round nail shape (squoval).

How to copy Victoria Beckham's ‘matte milk manicure’

This minimalist manicure is relatively easy to do yourself if you have the basics. Start by cleaning and prepping your nails, taking care to remove cuticles and shape the nails with a file.

Once you've done that, it's time to start painting.

Begin by applying a base coat so that your mani lasts longer, then bring in your colour.

The 'It's in the Clouds' gel polish from OPI matches Victoria Beckham's tone particularly well. A matting top coat such as ‘Gel Couture Matte’ by Essie is then applied on top. Of course, you can also always just go to the salon and get a longer lasting manicure with BIAB or gel. After all, that's what Posh Spice would do.
