
Jeffrey Behr, 51, (pictured) of Delmont, Pennsylvania, died in a skiing accident on Saturday
A skier was killed after he was accidentally struck by another skier at a Pennsylvania resort, according to authorities.
State police in Somerset County said 51-year-old Jeffrey Behr of Delmont was skiing on the Wagner trail near the main lodge at Seven Springs Mountain Resort on Saturday night.
Police said he was struck by another skier shortly after 9pm Saturday and both fell, and Behr was injured on his face and neck.
Somerset 911 confirms that a call from Seven Springs Ski Patrol came in around 9pm for a trauma arrest, and a coroner was called at 9:46 p.m.
He was taken to the Seven Springs Ski Patrol medical office, where emergency medical personnel continued treatment.
Behr was pronounced dead at the medical office by the Somerset County Coroner.
Seven Springs spokeswoman Katie Buchan released a statement acknowledging Behr's death.
'Our entire mountain family is deeply saddened by the tragic accident,' Buchan said.
