Congratulations one and all, we have almost reached the point we've all been waiting for, as - thanks to that surprisingly reliable (so far!) roadmap out of lockdown - it's almost time to move on from pub gardens and sit inside restaurants. But until then we're still stuck outside, and it's not quite as blissful as we initially imagined. It's spring, which sounds promising, but it's also the UK. Oh, and did we mention that it's been hailing this week? So what are we supposed to wear?
This question has been on our minds since the beginning of the year, but even we didn't anticipate the weather throwing up this many curveballs. Is it too cold for sandals? Can we still wear boots in May? Are trainers special enough? So many questions, so little time.
But fear not, we have some tips to help you navigate through your garden pub attire regardless of the non-Spring we're experiencing right now.
Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, the jacket that you’d usually throw into the cloakroom is now a major part of your look, so why not allow it to be a real statement-maker?
Another great option is to really go big on layering. We have finally been set (semi-)free and of course we want to look and feel our best, but nobody feels good when they’re cold.
