Air weapon fired at Yeovil family

Police are investigating reports that an air weapon was fired at a young family in Yeovil.

The incident happened at around 6.40pm on Thursday August 30th as two children were playing in a garden in Mudford Road.

The family heard a whistling sound and a air pellet was seen to hit a concrete post nearby. It is believed the shot came from the area of the flats on Roping Road.

The incident was reported to us and an investigation has begun.
